Welcome to the online home of the Niagara Wasps Rugby Football Club. Our new website is COMING SOON and is currently under construction so expect a new and improved site in the near future. As always, stay tuned to this site for the latest updates and info concerning rugby in the Niagara Region.
The Niagara Wasps RFC was established in 1952 and has thrived ever since. It is home to men's, women's, junior teams and minor rugby. The Niagara Wasps maintain affiliations with the provincial & national representative teams as well as several regional over 35's clubs. Our club is also proud to support many of the local high school rugby teams and elementary flag rugby. Conveniently located in the heart of Niagara, the club is central to both Southern Ontario and Western New York. The club boasts two of the best rugby fields in Ontario and a clubhouse that is open year round. Please explore our website for further information about our club.

Whats the plan for the in-season?
We'll have 4 official sat sessions of touch, fitness&agility, focused skills, & player evaluations; sat, mar 3, 10, 17, & 24, times & location tba.
B&Y 7's kick-off tourny at the niagara rugby club.

Outdoor practices begin at the club: april - just thurs, may thru aug - tues & thu.

General Announcement - 2012 Board of Directors
Just to keep everyone in the loop on a slow news week for Niagara Rugby
As I am sure most of you know, last month the club voted to accept the 7 BoD candidates for election as the new board for 2012; that group determined the positions amongst themselves as follows...
Chris Hodgson - President
John Russell - Treasurer
Nicole Kovacs - Secretary
Greg "Benny" Watchorn - Director at Large
Bryon Grant - Director at Large
Jay Peterson - Director at Large
Mike Thorne - Director at Large
The new board will have a handover meeting with the outgoing board mid-September and will officially take over October 1. The earlier take over date is merely a formality to allow the planning for 2012 to start a few months earlier than it otherwise would. All executive positions and sub-comittees will stay in tact until the conclusion of their respective season or term. A date for the Annual General Meeting will be set for some time in October or November and announced in the near future.
